2020 may be a mess, but quarantine hasn’t been all bad for those wanting to get in hours of gaming. Gamers are in luck this year with not only new games on the horizon but also new gaming systems! Sony is releasing PlayStation 5 and Microsoft is coming out with the Xbox Series X.

With these consoles set to debut later this year, fans are eager to see the latest games to accompany the new consoles. Check out these highly anticipated games due to be released in 2020.

Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla

Get ready for a whole new Assassin’s Creed and prepare for Vikings. That’s right, Ubisoft is bringing Vikings to the action-adventure franchise. 

Great things are expected of Valhalla as new features are tailored to the brand-new consoles due to be released later this year. Many have speculated over the new addition. Valhalla’s expected to be a lot darker than the other Creed games. It’s set in the dark ages, after all. Get ready to pillage your way through a whole new Assassin’s Creed adventure.

Marvel’s Avengers

Produced by Crystal Dynamics, fans have been eagerly awaiting an Avengers game. Looks like Thanos has snapped into existence a long-awaited action-adventure game featuring everyone’s favorite heroes. Iron Man, Captain America, and more will be available to play alongside in this immersive game.

Square Enix says this about Avengers: “Marvel’s Avengers is an epic, third-person, action-adventure game that combines an original, cinematic story with single-player and co-operative gameplay.”

Cyberpunk 2077

Prepare for greatness! Coming from CD Projekt Red (The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt), fans have been anticipating the upcoming release of Cyberpunk 2077. People may recognize the man, the myth, and the legend that is Keanu Reeves as character Johnny Silverhand.

You take on the role of a mercenary in the open-world metropolis of Night City, California. This game was announced back in 2013 at E3. Finally, fans are starting to see progress with an expected release later this year. Let’s hope there are no more delays.

Spider-Man: Miles Morales

Sony is promising a lot for this open-world superhero experience. Due to the release of the Playstation 5 and the game’s exclusivity to the console, we’re expecting a lot of great things.

Prepare for a post-Brexit Britain with Ubisoft’s Watch Dog: Legion. The original release was pushed back but everyone is expecting big things.
