And no matter what type of gaming content you’re looking for, there are certain gaming channels that are worth checking out. If you haven’t subscribed yet, now’s the perfect time!

YouTube, the Google-owned video-sharing titan, has forever changed the perception of video gaming. Online gaming content has clawed beyond its nerdy stereotype and is no longer something that only traditional gaming enthusiasts tune in to watch. What’s more, the age of social distancing has only served to ramp up the growth of gaming streamers.

With millions of video game lovers, YouTube is littered with gaming channels that delight fans all across the globe. Sifting through the tons of great and not-so-great game streaming YouTubers out there, we’ve rounded up the best, most engaging ones you need to subscribe to.

Typical Gamer

If you want to switch from watching passive gaming YouTubers to engaging, entertaining channels, look no further than Typical Gamer. Hailing from Canada, Andre Rebelo, better known online as Typical Gamer, is one of the most dynamic gaming YouTubers. Every stream, viewers can expect some crazy gameplay as Rebelo attempts to dominate the game.

Before hopping into the big-name gaming streamer league, Rebelo used to post gameplay videos for Red Dead Redemption, which earned him tons of subscribers. His content has since evolved to feature light-hearted & playful roleplay videos & inventive gameplay streams. He uploads daily gaming live streams that mostly feature either Grand Theft Auto V or Fortnite.

Valkyrae

Rachel Hofstetter, better known by her online alias Valkyrae, is one of the many gaming YouTubers who garnered millions of views due to the dramatic ascent of Among Us. Famous for her positive & uplifting videos, the 100 Thieves’ content creator started out as a Twitch streamer but was later poached by YouTube for an exclusive streaming deal.

While in the beginning, she may not have held as high of a follower count as the likes of other Twitch streamers turned gaming YouTubers, but her YouTube channel experienced a meteoric rise when she started playing Among Us. In fact, her playstyle grew so popular that she became the fastest growing female streamer of the year and surpassed Pokimane as the most-viewed female streamer of 2020.

LazarBeam

If you’re wary of joining gaming streams where the raging host is trying too hard to be comedic, Lazarbeam’s channel will offer you a change of pace. Known for his entertaining memes & comedy riffs, LazarBeam, whose real name is Lannan Eacott, is among the most popular Australian gaming YouTubers. Eacott began his YouTube career in 2014 while simultaneously working in his family’s construction business.

Though he had a steady following, his channel blew up when he began posting videos of Fortnite: Battle Royale, back in 2018. Eacott doubled-down on his newly acquired fanbase with memes about Fortnite which gained him an added horde of subscribers. Never one to stick with one game, LazarBeam’s live streams also boast titles like Grand Theft Auto 5, Fallout 4, and Minecraft.

CouRageJD

Jack Dunlop, aka CourageJD, is a gaming content creator & member of 100 Thieves, an online social entertainment & esports team. He discovered the glory of competitive gaming with Halo 3 and cites it as the game that was responsible for “truly changing his life”, according to Dexerto.

In 2017, Dunlop abandoned other titles to focus on playing Fortnite, a title that immensely boosted his YouTube channel and helped him become the gaming sensation he is today.
