Jimin stole even more hearts after his solo performance during the latest BTS digital concert. Here are Twitter's reactions.

Is Jimin your bias? All the Twitter reactions to his BTS performance

This past weekend, BTS held a two-day Map of the Soul ON:E concert. The virtual event was originally supposed to have an in-person audience and an online one; however, the in-person portion was called off due to the South Korean government’s tightened social distancing rules. Nevertheless, BTS managed to make ON:E an epic concert regardless of its online status.

“Our motivation is for the ARMY to be able to cheer, cry, sing, laugh, and dance, and in ways that are appropriate for a global audience, bring those emotions to the band in a way that is meaningful for the band, and for the ARMY,” said KISWE CEO Mike Schabel.“We really want the at-home audience to stand up and be heard, and to make sure that BTS hears them, at least figuratively if not literally.”

Dancing to the top

Each BTS member had a solo performance throughout the concert; each member sang a song that embodied both their musical aesthetic and the image they present to ARMY. Their personalities were highlighted through their costumes & choreography, making every song unique & special. Jimin left fans out of breath after his amazing performance broke the internet with his iconic dance moves.

Known for his playfulness & charming looks, Jimin is also one of the best dancers in BTS; he’s also the singer behind the songs “Serendipity” and “Friends.” During his solo performance in Map of the Soul ON:E, Jimin showed fans he had yet another talent to add to the list.

Memorable moves

Dressed in a monochromatic maroon suit, Jimin sang “Filter” along with some background dancers. While dancing, Jimin caught fans off guard when he reached down for a Michael Jackson-style crotch grab. It’s no surprise that ARMY fans across the globe freaked out and simultaneously took to social media making Jimin a trending topic on Twitter.

Jimin wasn’t the only BTS member making headlines. Jungkook became a trending topic for his long hair & vocals. (We wouldn’t be surprised if every single BTS member became a trending topic at some point of the phenomenal performance.)

All hail the internet

Thanks to the live stream, BTS could finally perform songs for their ARMY off of their album, Map of the Soul: 7. This included V’s solo song “Inner Child,” Jin’s solo song “Moon,” Jimini’s solo song “Filter,”and group numbers like “We Are Bulletproof: The Eternal.”

Besides their performances on The Late Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and the MTV Video Music Awards, this was the first time BTS performed a full concert for their fans overseas – they did have to follow coronavirus social distancing precautions after all.

“The ARMYs I know and the BTS you all know, we’re strong,” RM said during the concert. “We’ll find a way. We always have. If there’s no way, let’s draw the whole map again. So no worries. We’re still connected.”

Fans can stay updated on BTS via social media platforms like Twitter & TikTok. Music from the Map of the Soul: 7 concert is available for streaming on platforms like Spotify & Apple Music.
