Everything you need to know about ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’ S7

Brooklyn Nine-Nine will return to our TV screens on NBC very soon for its seventh season. While we can’t wait to return to the Nine-Nine and the wild stories with it, we should take a moment and look at everything we need to know going into Brooklyn Nine-Nine’s seventh season.

Because there are more mister “noice” guys at the Nine-Nine. Or, at least, that’s what Brooklyn Nine-Nine’s seventh season key art tells us anyway. Here’s everything we know about the upcoming season of Brooklyn Nine-Nine.

Where did Brooklyn Nine-Nine leave off?

At the end of Brooklyn Nine-Nine’s sixth season, Captain Holt (Andre Braugher) was forced back into uniform after Deputy Chief/acting Commissioner Madeline Wuntch (Kyra Sedgwick) learned that Holt only spent a month as a uniform officer. As this is a breach of NYPD rules, she places him back into uniform to make up the missing time.

This means that the Nine-Nine is getting a new Captain and Holt is going to be on the streets for the foreseeable future.

When will Brooklyn Nine-Nine return?

Brooklyn Nine-Nine returns on Thursday, Feb. 6 at 8/7c on NBC with an hour-long premiere. The first episode is titled “Manhunt”, which will focus on Jake (Andy Samberg) on a manhunt after an attempted assassination on a city councilor. Insert your own joke about The Fugitive here. Holt, meanwhile, has to adjust to his new uniformed position with his new partner, Officer Debbie Fogel (Vanessa Bayer).

The second episode “Captain Kim” will focus on the new Nine-Nine Captain, Captain Kim (Nicole Bilderback), inviting the Nine-Nine squad over to her house for a dinner party in an attempt to ingratiate herself with her new colleagues.

How long is season seven of Brooklyn Nine-Nine?

Brooklyn Nine-Nine season seven will have 13 episodes. No, we don’t have any season eight renewal news for the beloved series at this time.

Other episode titles that have been revealed for the season are “Pimemento”, “The Jimmy Jab Games II”, “Debbie”, “Trying”, “Ding Dong”, and “The Takeback”.

What can we expect in Brooklyn Nine-Nine season seven?

Based on the latest trailer for the series, which is an 80s style lo-fi homage, we can expect Holt having difficulty adjusting to his new situation. As he tells Jake, Cheddar “only poops for Kevin now” and that feels like he’s lost the respect of everyone he knows due to his demotion.

Part of the season, we can guess is Holt trying to reclaim his former spot as the Captain of the Nine-Nine. For some reason, we don’t think he’ll be in uniform for too long. Just like Jake and Rosa (Stephanie Beatriz) being in jail, this too shall pass. Never mind when Holt and Jake had to be placed in Witness Protection for awhile. (Man, the Nine-Nine has been through a lot, huh?)

Brooklyn Nine-Nine will return for season seven on Thursday, Feb. 6 at 8/7c on NBC.
