The COVID vaccine: Are supplies being hoarded by the elites?

Did you know some Hollywood elites are trying to buy the COVID-19 vaccine? While the COVID-19 vaccine might be available, the elites are not ready to wait in line.

The number of COVID-19 cases in the U.S. are only rising. According to Page Six, John Hopkins University recorded a total of 25,747 new cases and 422 new deaths in the state of California.

Since the numbers are rising, Hollywood is getting impatient. In fact, International Business Times reported that a couple Hollywood elites have actually offered bribes up to $10,000 for the COVID-19 vaccine.

Vaccine availability

According to Variety, a UCLA spokesperson stated that any “philanthropic support is in no way a criterion to determine vaccine candidacy, and no program or options exist to bypass vaccination priorities at UCLA Health.”

UCLA’s spokesperson continued: “We are following the direction of the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health and prioritizing health care workers, followed by patients sixty-five and older, and facing the greatest risk based on their medical conditions.”

UCLA told the press that when the COVID-19 vaccine “supplies increase”, then guidelines will expand. Variety reported that UCLA believes that when the supplies start rolling in they’ll be prepared to offer more people the vaccine.

Page Six reported that, though 387,500 U.S. citizens have currently received the COVID-19  vaccine, they’re not close to vaccinating the rest of the country, and certainly not California with a population of 40 million people.

Bribes

In an interview with Variety, Dr. Robert Huizenga claimed that many popular Hollywood stars actually tried to hustle their way into grabbing the COVID-19 vaccine.

Beverly Hills physician Dr. Robert Huizenga told Variety: “We’ve been offered bribes. We see people taking planes to every location. We’ve seen people try to transiently get into the healthcare profession or on staff at nursing homes, so they qualify for an early vaccine.”

Though Dr. Robert Huizenga is upset about the bribing situation, he also understands we are all in a “fight” for our lives. He expressed to Variety: “You can’t really blame them for pulling out all the stops. The state and the government have set up a system that is really horrendous.”

As per Variety, a member of UCLA has also notified the public that “UCLA is operating extremely by the book and hasn’t given a single shot to the concierge patients.”

Survivors

The American executive, famously known for managing Christina Aguilera & Jon Bon Jovi, Irving Azoff was lucky enough to receive the COVID-19 vaccine when the U.S. started distributing to citizens sixty-five or older. According to Variety, the second round of vaccines in Los Angeles County moved in mid-January, after they “prioritized healthcare workers”.

In an interview with Variety, Azoff stated: “I’m a seventy-three years old cancer survivor. I recently had part of my intestine removed. Damn right I received the vaccine, and I’m glad I did. Everyone eligible should get vaccinated as soon as they can.”

Irving Azoff isn’t the only one who was saved by his age. According to Page Six, other elderly survivors include the CEO of Dick Clark Productions Allen Shapiro, and former Time Warner CEO Richard Parsons.

Hope in Hollywood

Not all Hollywood elites have been bribing their way into getting the COVID-19 vaccine, as Arnold Schwarzenegger recently waited in line to get his COVID-19 shot, and shared his full experience for the world to see.

The Terminator actor posted his vaccination video on Twitter, and told fans: “I just got my vaccine, and I’ll recommend it to anyone and everyone. Come with me if you want to live.”
