Khloe Kardashian takes Tristan Thompson back. What about Jordyn Woods?

There’s a reason why we have a TV show entirely dedicated to “keeping up” with the Kardashians: the drama is never in short supply in that family. Take Khloé Kardashian, for example, who can’t avoid making headlines even when all she’s doing is trying to enjoy life with on-again/off-again lover Tristan Thompson.

A couple of days ago, Khloé Kardashian posted a touching tribute to Tristan Thompson on Instagram. The post was meant to celebrate Thompson’s birthday, but also served to confirm what many have been speculating for a long time: that Khloé had finally taken Tristan back. The announcement was met with enthusiasm by many Kardashian fans and anger by many others. Why? Jordyn Woods.

Tristan “Two-timing” Thompson

Tristan Thompson has a long history of unfaithfulness allegations – and not just when it comes to Khloé Kardashian. For the purposes of today’s lecture, however, the important incident has to do with Jordyn Woods. Woods used to be Kylie Jenner’s best friend & roommate . . . until reports surfaced of Tristan cheating on Khloé with her.

According to numerous sources, on February 19, 2019, Tristan Thompson and Jordyn Woods found themselves at the same house party, which eventually led to them finding themselves all over each other. The allegations spread through the web like fire and got Tristan & Jordyn in serious trouble with the Kardashians.

Jordyn Woods eventually went on Red Table Talk (today’s hip place to go give your side of the story) and told Jada Pinkett Smith her version of the events: it was just one kiss, “no passion . . . no tongue kiss, no making out, no nothing”, all initiated by Tristan Thompson. Khloé didn’t care for the explanation and Jordyn was quickly ostracized by the Kardashian family.

Why are you lying @jordynwoods ?? If you’re going to try and save yourself by going public, INSTEAD OF CALLING ME PRIVATELY TO APOLOGIZE FIRST, at least be HONEST about your story. BTW, You ARE the reason my family broke up!

But I love you, baby

That all happened a little over a year ago, and Tristan Thompson has been slowly working his way back into Khloé Kardashian’s heart since then. Unlike Jordyn Woods, Tristan has been successful at somehow regaining Khloé’s trust. It may have helped that they have a kid together, in addition to having a legion of fans rooting for them to find a way to make things work.

Adding to the pressure of being in the spotlight, Khloé Kardashian & Tristan Thompson have had their road to reconciliation documented on Keeping Up With the Kardashians (of course). During last season, Khloé told him: “I’m trying to be more trusting. It’s a slow process, but that’s just how it has to be for me. I do appreciate the effort you make and the new you – it’s night and day who you are.”

Well, it looks like all that time & effort put in by Tristan Thompson finally paid off, as everyone could see in Khloé Kardashian’s birthday Instagram post for him. In it, Khloé revealed they were back together while also proclaiming that “The ones that are meant to be are the ones who go through everything that is designed to tear them apart and they come out stronger than they were before.”

Remember how we said not everybody was happy about Khloé Kardashian forgiving Tristan Thompson and taking him back? Well, a lot of the dissatisfaction among those fans stems from what they perceive as unfair treatment of Jordyn Woods over the cheating allegations last year. In a nutshell: why is Khloé being so understanding to the man who cheated on her, and so mean to her sister’s BFF (that he cheated with)?

The backlash shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone, since there was plenty of similar outrage back when the alleged cheating happened. Fans weren’t happy with how Khloé seemed to direct her anger to Jordyn only, while going easy on Tristan. It got bad enough that Khloé eventually had to post a tweet where she directly acknowledged Tristan was to blame for the incident.

Not that said tweet mattered in the long run. Jordyn Woods was effectively & efficiently cut off by the Kardashian/Jenners. There were even rumors that Khloé told Kylie she was not allowed to be friends with Jordyn anymore. Khloé has denied those allegations, but the fact remains: Jordyn was exiled from Kardashian-land, whereas Tristan Thompson was given a path to redemption.
