Most annoying ‘Money Heist’ member? These quotes say Tokyo

Raise your hand if you’ve ever felt personally victimized by Tokyo’s dumb actions. Everyone? That’s what we thought.

Money Heist has a lot of good aspects to it. It’s intense and keeps you on the edge of your seat. It’s got the hot as fork Alvaro Morte as The Professor. It brought “Bella Ciao” back into relevancy at a time we needed it.

However, what the show’s not good at is giving us a likable narrator. Now, we’re not saying Tokyo is as bad as Arturo or Gandia. But she’s definitely in the top three. Nothing personal to Ursula Corbero either, because she seems like a sweetheart in real life.

But the best thing Money Heist has ever done is roll Tokyo out of the bank tied to a table so she couldn’t ruin anything. Even poor sweet Rio has finally figured out that Tokyo is not the right person to spend your life with. If somehow we’ve yet to convince you to come to team anyone but Tokyo, listen to the words that have come out of her mouth. That will definitely sway you.

“After all, what’s more human than the fight for survival?”

Out of context, this is a great inspirational quote about the gang fighting to be Robin Hoods. In context, she says this right as she throws a mutiny against Berlin and plays Russian Roulette with him tied to a chair. Clearly she’s not thinking straight.

“In the end, love is a good reason to fall apart.”

She literally goes crazy the minute Rio breaks up with her. We get it, breakups suck. But you’re in the middle of holding up the Bank of Spain. Now is not the time to drink your feelings into oblivion.

“The good thing about relationships is that you finally forget how they started.”

You literally pointed a gun at The Professor’s genitals. Pretty sure he’s not going to forget how crazy you are.

“When you hit rock-bottom, you still have a ways to go until the abyss.”

As someone who has hit rock bottom on several occasions, she should know that saying inspiration crap like this does nothing. It’s on the same level of telling a depressed person to stop being sad.

“I can behave like a proper girl for a long time, but little by little, the naughty girl inside of me starts to take over.”

I don’t think we’ve ever met this proper girl Tokyo. Could you introduce us? She’d probably be a hell of a lot more useful to the heist than the impulsive bad girl we know.

“A woman can spend two days choosing shoes for a wedding. But wouldn’t spend a minute arguing over masks for a robbery.”

It didn’t take months for everyone to pick out masks, it took months to plan every possibility of this heist. Let’s not start acting like you’re better because you don’t care what mask you’re wearing.

“We all have snipers aiming at our hearts. But the true terror arrives when that bullet doesn’t hit you, but takes out a person you love.”

That’s a great metaphor and all, but your friend is literally laying on a table bleeding out after being hit by a sniper rifle. Chill it out, my dude. This isn’t about you.

    • Agreed with Soph. Toyko is a multifaceted character but so was Walter White and Han Solo. Contrast that to Star Trek, how everybody got along with each other, and how boring that was.

      • hahahahahahah….
did you just compare Walter to Tokyo?
either you haven’t seen Breaking bad… or you dont know what you are talking about….

For starters, W. White was a Nobel prize winner and a genius…..
Tokyo is a good for nothing fool with no specialty whatsoever and could have been easily replaced with anyone more apt for the heist.
someone more stable…. someone who wont try to run away when thing seem to get a bit Difficult

  • Sounds like this was all written by Gandía or something lol. Comes off as kinda bitter. Tokyo can be a bitch and she’s unpredictable but that’s what makes her such a strong character.

  • Honesty Rio’s worse
I can name a few useful actions Tokyo has done but literally everything Rio does hurts the plan. Objectively speaking I can’t name a single useful action he’s done since the series began. He went from getting his gun stolen by a 17 year old girl in season 1 to failing to shoot a unarmed man in season 4.
