Were Ghislaine Maxwell and Jeffrey Epstein married? All the receipts

The sordid details of the Jeffrey Epstein & Ghislaine Maxwell case continue to grow evermore shocking. Ghislaine Maxwell was arrested by the FBI at the beginning of July and charged with six federal crimes including sex trafficking, enticement of minors, transporting a minor to engage in criminal acts, and perjury.

Maxwell is well-known as Epstein’s former girlfriend and has been labeled also as Epstein’s “Madam” due to her allegedly procuring & trafficking young women for Epstein & others. During her indictment on July 14, the public made the shocking discovery that Maxwell is married. We don’t know the identity of Maxwell’s spouse and it could be anyone – even Epstein.

Maxwell’s arrest & indictment

Ghislaine Maxwell was brought into custody from a secluded house in Bradford, New Hampshire on July 2, 2020. It took twenty armed agents to break down the door to Maxwell’s 156-acre property known as “Tucked Away”. Maxwell fled to a room in the house and shut the door and when the police apprehended her she had a cellphone wrapped in tinfoil, a tactic meant to deter detection by law enforcement.

On July 14, Maxwell pleaded not guilty to her charges via video link. Maxwell was denied bail after prosecutors successfully argued that she was a flight risk due to her three passports, her fortune, and many connections across the globe. Maxwell must remain locked up until her trial scheduled for July 2021. During her time imprisoned, Maxwell is being watched round the clock to prevent any possible suicide attempts.

It was during the indictment when US Attorney Alison Moe, one of the three prosecutors on Maxwell’s case, disclosed the fact that Maxwell had a spouse. Moe used the fact to add weight to her argument against bail for Ghislaine Maxwell saying that Maxwell’s filings, “makes no mention whatsoever about the financial circumstances or assets of her spouse whose identity she declined to provide to Pretrial Services.”

Maxwell & Epstein’s love affair

Although Ghislaine Maxwell refused to reveal the identity of her spouse, it doesn’t stop the public from speculating about the mystery partner. The first thought goes to Jeffrey Epstein with whom Maxwell was very close in the 90s during her first years in America.

Maxwell was first linked to Epstein in an article in the Daily Mail about London’s “it” girls. The 1993 described Maxwell who was thirty-one at the time to be “utterly inseparable from her New York boyfriend, Jeff Epstein.”

Four years later Jeffrey Epstein & Ghislaine Maxwell were on their fifth year as a couple and London’s Evening Standard hinted about the future of their relationship by writing, “Despite her association with Epstein, now in its fifth year, it is possible that Ghislaine could pull off a still bigger surprise on 5 July, by getting married—but not to him. She has, after all, always approached men in a spirit of adventure.”

An off-the-books relationship

It seems unlikely that Epstein & Maxwell were ever married, so who else could be Maxwell’s mystery man? Fingers then point to her most recent close relationship with British tech CEO Scott Borgenson.

Maxwell was linked to Borgenson in 2019 when it was reported by the Daily Mail that she was living at his oceanfront mansion located in Manchester-by-the-Sea, Massachusetts after news broke that Epstein has committed suicide. Borgenson however, refuted those claims in an interview with New York Post

Borgenson has, in fact, denied any romantic affiliation with Maxwell whatsoever in August of 2020. Other reports have linked Maxwell to Borgenson in an intimate relationship since 2013 when Maxwell allegedly “stole” Borgenson away from his ex-wife.
