There’s so much to enjoy about your college days: new friends, wild parties, cutting-edge education, crippling student debt . . . ah, maybe not that last one. Thankfully, many businesses are happy to lend college students a financial hand, so to speak. Hulu, for example, offers a student discount – because streaming entertainment is a must in college these days. 

You can unlock plenty of offers like the men’s clothing student discount or the Hulu student discount by using the power of your “.edu” email account. Are you ready to save some money?

Amazon Prime

Before we get to the Hulu student discount, let’s check out one of its competitors. Of course, streaming movies & TV shows is only part of what Amazon Prime offers. The service also gives you free two-day shipping, unlimited photo storage and sweet Prime-exclusive deals on their site.

The college student variant of Amazon Prime is aptly named Amazon Prime Student and costs $6.49 a month (or $59 a year if you want to take care of the annual payment all at once). That’s basically half the standard price. Additionally, you get the first six months for free because Amazon really wants you to get hooked.

Apple Music

Apple offers a handful of seasonal discount options for students throughout the year. Their student discount for Apple Music, however, stands all year long and gives you all the music you can handle for just half the price of a regular subscription. That’s $4.99 a month instead of $9.99.

Audible

Even if you love reading, you have to admit it’s the kind of activity that doesn’t really allow for much multitasking – and multitasking is the only way to get everything done these days. Hulu, Spotify, and Showtime

Talk about a triple threat. There is a student discount bundle that gives you almost too much entertainment for only $4.99 a month. Not only do you get a free month of Spotify, Hulu, and Showtime, but then you’ll keep all three services at the discounted price of $4.99 a month until you decide you’ve had enough.

The New York Times

It’s important to balance your entertainment consumption with harsh reminders of what’s going on in the outside world. You won’t be in college forever, and you need to be aware of what’s waiting for you in adulthood. Reading newspapers is a good way to do that (certainly better than glancing at headlines on social media) and The New York Times actually offers a pretty good student discount.

The standard price for a monthly subscription to The New York Times is $3.75 a week. Students get the first four weeks for free and then only pay $1 a week. One dollar! That’s less than a spicy chicken sandwich at McDonald’s!

Adobe Creative Cloud

Reading books, watching movies, and listening to music are great ways to relax. But what if you want to make something? Adobe offers a 60% discount on its full suite for students. Instead of paying $52.99 a month, you’ll only have to pay $19.99 a month, as long as you use your .edu address when you make your purchase.
