Does Yeezy’s new wife mean he’s finally given Kim K the boot?
The confusion surrounding Kanye West has continued into 2023. After going on a highly controversial, and some would say career-ending press tour in which he promoted antisemitic rhetoric, the rapper has reportedly remarried. The word “reportedly” is important here, and some are leery of the legitimacy of the marriage.
West is no stranger to publicity stunts, as his previous marriage to Kim Kardashian was among the most discussed and publicized in media history. West and Kardashian finalized their divorce on November 29, 2022, and neither party has wasted time finding new partners.
Is West’s new marriage the real deal? Is it a ruse meant to get under his ex-wife’s skin? Let’s investigate.
Media warfare
West and Kardashian did not have the smoothest divorce. The former made his intentions to get back together evident from the start, and they manifested everywhere from social media to concert performances. The rapper’s hopes were shot down, however, when Kardashian started dating comedian Pete Davidson.
West’s angry behavior behind-the-scenes, coupled with his public disdain for Davidson, further alienated him from Kardashian and his family. Even after Kardashian decided to end her romance with the comedian, West continued to criticize her and accuse her of being a bad influence on their children.
The hostility has seemingly manifested in West’s dating life. He’s been romantically linked to actress Julia Fox and model Chaney Jones, but none of these relationships have lasted very long. Fox theorized that West’s residual feelings for Kardashian is what led to their break-up.
“I was like, ‘Oh, my God, maybe I can get him off of Kim’s case”, she told What What Happens Live host Andy Cohen. “Maybe I can distract him, just get him to like me and I knew if anyone can do it, it’s me.’” Once she realized it was not going to work, though, she was “out.”
Is Ye’s “new wife” really a wife?
TMZ reported that West and Bianca Censori married in a small ceremony in Utah. The private nature of the ceremony turned heads, especially given West’s aforementioned flair for theatrics. There’s also the matter of a marriage license, which is legally required and which neither party has bothered to file. It’s for these reasons that many believe the wedding was fake, and a means of drawing attention away from West’s controversies.
Censori is an architectural designer who has worked for the rapper’s Yeezy brand for several years. She hails from Australia, and West was reportedly planning to take a trip down under to visit her (as well as her family).
That may not be possible, however. According to CinemaBlend, Australian officials have suggested that the rapper could be barred from the country due to his antisemitic comments. Australia’s education minister, Jason Clare, issued a statement on the matter, in which he seemed quite certain that West would be denied entry.
“People like that who’ve applied for visas to get into Australia in the past have been rejected”, he said. “I expect that if he does apply he would have to go through the same process and answer the same questions that they did.”

Because they have four children together, West and Kardashian will always be linked. Many have pointed out the fact that Censori bore a striking resemblance to Kardashian before she dyed her hair blonde, and this is not the first time West has been accused of pursuing Kim K look-alikes.
Whether or not West’s new marriage is legit, it seems as though his time with Kardashian is over for good. Both parties have such bad blood at this point that it’s hard to envision a time and place in which they could get back together.
