Best memes: Tom Brady vs. Drew Brees is the oldest QB matchup ever
When Tom Brady went from the AFC to the NFC, leaving the New England Patriots for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, it opened the possibility for him & Drew Brees, the two oldest players in the league, to take the field in a playoff game.
The previous record for the oldest postseason quarterback matchup was in 2019. Brady was still involved, but this time, it was Philip Rivers on the other end. The combined age of their playoff game was seventy-eight-years-old. Brady and Brees combine for eighty-five-years-old.
The two rival NFC South teams boast the two oldest quarterbacks in the league. Brady is forty-three, and Brees is forty-one. It would be the oldest quarterback matchup in the history of the NFL. The internet didn’t take long to start pointing it out and start churning out memes about it.

History in the making
When NFL Films does their documentary on the game, can they please get Morgan Freeman to narrate? Frank Caliendo, one of the greatest impressionists of all time, hits it right on the nail with this video.

We see no difference
There is absolutely no difference between this video posted to Twitter and the game on Sunday. It felt like looking into the future.
The year is 2043, Drew Brees and Tom Brady are set to meet for the 22nd time in the NFL postseason.

A literal battle of the ages
In the words of John Mulaney, “Promise!?” Tom Brady would be sixty-five and Brees would be sixty-three, but we would still pay good money to watch these two duke it out in a playoff game.
I turned 61 today. After watching Tom Brady and Drew Brees play, I’m wondering if it’s not too late to finally reach my childhood dream of being an NFL quarterback.

Go get’em, tiger!
It’s never too late to achieve your dreams. You can do anything if you put your mind to it. If Tom Brady and Drew Brees can still play, so can you.

We’re excited to0
As funny as their combined age of eighty-four years is, we can’t wait to see the two quarterbacks facing off against each other in the playoffs. Their regular-season games were fantastic, and their playoff game should not disappoint.
