Simp over Jimin from BTS with his best moments on stage
To say BTS’s Jimin has grown into his flair for electrifying on-stage performances is an understatement. With his polished choreography and compelling stage presence, Jimin is no stranger to rocking a stage and putting on a fiery show. And fans simply can’t get enough of his live performances. If you’re down to simp & swoon, here’s a look at some of Jimin’s best moments on stage.
Dancing blindfolded
If anyone can execute flawless choreography while donning a blindfold, it’s our Jimin from BTS. The singer wowed the audience with a show-stopping rendition of his solo song “Lie” at the 2016 Mnet Asian Music Awards.
Jimin conveys the essence of his deeply emotional ballad through his mesmerizing dance routine and spot-on facial expressions, all the while keeping his eyes covered. Talk about a blindingly stunning performance!
Slaying the new solo
When Jimin debuted his performance of “Filter” during the Map of the Soul ON:E online concert, fans totally lost their cool on seeing the sexy & suave side of the boy band member. Jimin brought down the stage with his soulful vocals and intricate dance moves while meticulously portraying his take on the different ‘filters’ or personas that people put on.
“Filter” is featured as the eighth track on the septet’s recent album Map of the Soul: 7 and is particularly personal to Jimin. In an interview with Spotify, the artist revealed that he “is the one who came up with the concept” for his solo and claimed that song sheds light on how he, as a performer, “[wants] to present [himself] to the world in many different ways”, according to Koreaboo.
Jimin rapping
While there were dozens of dazzling moments during BTS’s highly anticipated 2021 Muster Sowoozoo, Jimin’s rapping surely takes the cake as the most standout moment of them all. During the second day of the event, the septet took to stage to perform “Chicken Noodle Soup”, J-Hope’s 2019 single with Becky G, and Jimin rapped & sung along Becky G’s verses stealing excited hurrahs from his fans.
The members from BTS also accompanied their bandmate Suga in performing “Daechwita,” the title track from his alter ego’s mixtape D-2, where Jimin once again showcased his rapping skills, leaving the fans gasping for air at his versatility. It just goes to show that Jimin can literally pull off any music genre.
On-stage mishaps
We all know that Jimin from BTS is a seasoned performer, but it doesn’t mean that things always work out seamlessly on stage.
More often than not, there’s always some sort of awkward or crazy blunders that throws things out of the loop and compels us to love the septet even more.
One such moment happened when the group performed at Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest. BTS took over Times Square’s New Year’s Eve festivities to usher in the new year with their epic live renditions.
During their performance, Jimin experienced a slight wardrobe mishap where his jacket somehow wound upon his head, but the boy bander didn’t let the flub throw him off and gracefully continued on with his performance like a true professional.
