Cadaver dogs are going to search Carole Baskin’s husband’s home

Carole Baskin has not shied away from the spotlight since Netflix’s debut of true-crime docuseries Tiger King. With her recent stint on Dancing with the Stars, all eyes are on Baskin and her crazy life. The conspiracies surrounding Baskin began when Joe Exotic declared to the world that he believed Baskin had a part to play in her husband Don Lewis’s disappearance.

Retired homicide investigator Jim Rathmann recently told Fox News cadaver dogs would be used to aid in a search for any sign of missing Don Lewis. Tiger breeder Lewis has been missing for twenty-three years. Finally, Lewis’s family is getting a full-blown investigation following recent interest in the case.

One of Don Lewis’s lake houses will be ground zero for any and all investigation with the dogs. “That area near the lake house is going to be explored further,” Rathmann told Fox News. The investigation could reveal new theories surrounding the disappearance and give new insight to Lewis’s final days leading to his sudden vanishing act.

“You know, it’s amazing. 23 years this case was completely unheard of other than the very initial stages,” Rathmann said. “Completely unheard of. And then everybody watched that Joe Exotic saga several months ago [on Netflix] and boom, this is on a worldwide stage. Everybody’s focused on it.” Tiger King intrigued millions at the beginning of 2020 and even now, is still a conversation topic amongst many.

In the three hour special, you’re going to get a deep dive into what we know of the twenty-three-year-old cold case, but also what we don’t know. Rathmann continued by saying the investigation will provide “a great opportunity” to really let them be the jury, so to speak, on whether there is [Carole Baskin] involvement or not.”

Killed her husband? Whacked him?

Carole Baskin has, of course, denied any allegations relating to her involvement in Don Lewis’s disappearance. Don Lewis’s family is yet to be convinced of Baskin’s innocence and claims she may know more than she’s revealed.

Joe Exotic is still adamant that Baskin was responsible for her husband vanishing. Even suggesting that Carole fed her missing husband to the tigers that she holds in Big Cat Rescue. Over sixty million people tuned into Tiger King, but none have the answer to a question many have asked for over twenty-three years: where is Don Lewis?
