How did financier Jeffrey Epstein get filthy rich?
The filthy rich and joyfully dead Jeffrey Epstein will never escape the public eye, given his shady background and unforgivable crimes. Epstein, known for his money and back-alley connections, is a face that we’ll luckily never have to see again, but a name that will live on for eternity.
Jefferey Epstein, a financer whose biggest client was Wexner, claimed to have only had an interest in working with clients whose net worths were $1 billion or greater. Epstein, who first worked in education but then moved on to the investing and finance world, would go on to become one of the richest men alive, earning rich friends along the way, including former U.S. President Donald Trump. Jeffrey Epstein begins
Born on January 20th, 1953, in Brooklyn, NY, Jeffrey Epstein began his professional career as a teacher before shifting to finance & banking, working for Bear Stearns before eventually establishing a firm of his own.
Epstein had linked himself with multiple famous personalities, rumored to have been friends with the likes of Bill Clinton, Donald Trump, Prince Andrew, Tom Barrack, Woody Allen, Bill Barr, Harvey Weinstein, and many others. History may never reveal just who turned out to be as shady as Epstein, but our imaginations might be able to fill in those gaps.
In 2019, just before his death, Jeffrey Epstein’s net worth was estimated to be north of $559 million, an impressive sum but nowhere near that of his former friend, Donald Trump.
The color of money
Both Donald Trump & Jeffrey Epstein began to pal around in the late 1980s, sharing a growing interest in pretentious items such as planes, foreign-born models, and shady money, linking the two to a bromance that would last nearly twenty-years, right up until Jeffrey Epstein was exposed.
Both Trump & Epstein found similarities in the ways they were raised, leading Donald Trump to believe that his friend Jeffrey Epstein was indeed a “terrific guy” as he famously once told New York Magazine. “He’s a lot of fun to be with. It is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side. No doubt about it—Jeffrey enjoys his social life.” Yikes.
However, after a friendship of nearly twenty years, filled with a shady background, the pair had a falling out in 2004 when Epstein had intentions of purchasing a Palm Beach oceanfront mansion from a bankruptcy auction. Epstein, who loved the house, brought in Trump before his purchase to get his advice on relocating the swimming pool, to which he learned that Trump outbid and flipped the property himself.
Epstein even believed that Trump was the one who got the police to investigate him in 2005 regarding his relationships with young women, specifically because of Jeffrey Epstein threatening to sue Donald Trump over the bidding process of the Palm Beach mansion.
Jeffrey Epstein crimes
Initial developments in the crimes of filthy rich Jeffrey Epstein began sometime in 2005 when a woman claimed Epstein had sexually abused her fourteen-year-old daughter in his mansion. This was the ugly beginning of Epstein’s case, as far as the public was aware of his predatory history.
In 2008, Epstein had pleaded guilty to procuring the prostitution of a girl who was younger than eighteen years of age, which earned Jeffrey Epstein a prison sentence of eighteen months before being released on house arrest after serving only thirteen of the months.
As we know, Jeffrey Epstein notoriously went on to be the center of multiple civil cases & trafficking charges, eventually warranting his arrest on July 6th, 2019, in New Jersey and earning him a jail sentence at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in New York City.
Jeffrey Epstein’s “death”
On August 10th, 2019, Epstein was found dead in his cell after what was deemed an apparent suicide by hanging.
Rumors have circulated over the years on whether Epstein actually did the deathly deed himself or was murdered, seeing as the two cameras in front of Epstein’s cell were “malfunctioning” that night. To add to suspicion, only three weeks prior Epstein was found unconscious in his cell with neck injuries, claiming that he was attacked by his cellmate before being put on suicide watch.
Oddly enough, many people out there still believe in conspiracies that the filthy rich Jeffrey Epstein is still alive, lurking out there somewhere in the shadows as if he were Lord Voldemort reincarnated. Honestly, we wouldn’t be surprised if this was one day revealed to be the truth, as evil works in mysterious ways.
