So let’s be real for a moment. When Jennifer Lopez & Alex Rodriguez reportedly split up, our hearts were broken! The endgame couple took over worldwide publications with rumors about ARod’s alleged cheating scandal! But could the couple actually be rekindling their romance? Let’s find out.

Wedding Bells

Early 2021, Alex Rodriguez told Jimmy Fallon about their failed attempts to wed: “You know we (JRod) tried twice in 2020. We got bit twice by COVID-19.” While Jennifer Lopez expressed to Elle: “We postponed the wedding twice. We had planned what we really, really, wanted to do, (but), I don’t know if we’ll be able to recreate that. We canceled it, and since then, we haven’t really talked about it.” Yikes. 

Then, Eonline announced on March 12th, that the couple called off their two-year engagement. And despite those rumors, it seems “Jenny from the block” hasn’t let these rumors about Alex Rodriguez’s cheating get to her and “chooses not to pay attention”.

Breakup

Though we all loved these stars together, Jlo & Arod were the face of headlines when Jennifer Lopez was apparently “upset on set” during her film Shotgun Wedding alongside Hollywood co-star Josh Duhamel. 

And as shocking as Lopez’s mood might’ve been, Jennifer Lopez & Alex Rodriguez quickly confessed: “All the reports are inaccurate. We are working through some things.”

“They are trying to work through some things . . . but it’s unclear if that means they are staying together,” an insider told Page Six. 

Jennifer Lopez & Alex Rodriguez were reportedly “dividing their assets” amid the split as they’ve been extremely big business partners with their enormous wealth as they’ve made a deal with a self care company called Him & Hers, as well as a partnership with Fitplan for incredible fitness coaching. 

Since the scandal, the pair have been seen on opposite sides of the world as Rodriguez has been training for baseball in Miami while Lopez is getting ready for her new film in the Dominican Republic. 

Living together

They have had our vote as the ultimate form of “couple goals” for the last four years. In fact, they even merged their unique families together and have enjoyed their “pandemic bubble” with their children. Seeing Jennifer Lopez’s twins (with ex-husband Marc Anthony) Emme & Max, and Alex Rodriguez’s daughters Natasha & Ella (with his ex-girlfriend Cynthia Scurtis) has been the highlight of our lockdown. 

But it wasn’t always paradise for the power couple, as Lopez previously told fans that they actually needed help during quarantine. Jennifer Lopez confessed to Allure magazine: “We got to work on ourselves. We did therapy . . . I think it was really helpful for us in our relationship.”

Though her excitement for their wedding date was clear – “it was a big deal”. They were “planning for months and months and months, and it was overseas.” Could you picture their overseas wedding?

According to Page Six, Lopez & Rodriguez were spotted looking super cozy in the Dominican Republic just a week after their very public breakup. But wasn’t Rodriguez supposed to be in Miami? The publication noted that while JLo was looking beautiful as ever in a white robe, she seemed happy and enjoying a breakfast tray with Arod! 

And if that wasn’t enough, Page Six added that the couple enjoyed a quick kiss outside. An insider stated: “They had a great couple days in the DR . . . They continue to work through things. That’s the status quo right now. They’re together.”

The couple’s heart-to-heart may have warmed all our hearts, however, some fans are not buying it. A source explained to Page Six last week Thursday that “it’s unclear if the relationship will last.”
