Jordan Peele’s new movie is cast: Everything you want to know
Fans & critics alike have been waiting in anticipation for a new movie from the award-winning director Jordan Peele, and it seems like we don’t have to wait much longer. The Hollywood Reporter announced that the auteur has found the leads for his newest project, and the cast so far looks amazing. Find out all the new details for the upcoming film here.
Who will be in the new film?
In past films, Jordan Peele has always featured actors & actresses with some serious talent. For his new movie, The Hollywood Reporter has announced that actress & recording artist Keke Palmer has officially signed on to star in the project, and that actor Daniel Kaluuya is also in talks to work on the new Jordan Peele film.
Keke Palmer has been in the acting spotlight since a very young age, starring in memorable childrens’ films such as Akeelah and the Bee (2006) & Jump In! (2007). Palmer also played the titular role in the Nickelodeon show True Jackson, VP that aired from 2008 to 2011. Throughout her career, the star has received four NAACP Image Awards, two BET Awards, as well as SAG & Daytime Emmy Award nominations.
Daniel Kaluuya is notoriously known for his iconic role in Get Out (2017), the debut horror film from Jordan Peele. So, it comes as no surprise the actor is in talks to once again show off his acting chops in the new movie. Recent roles from the actor include Widows (2018), Black Panther (2018), and Judas and the Black Messiah (2021). His role in Get Out (2017) even got him an academy Award nomination for Best Actor.
What will the film be about?
Details based around the new movie by Jordan Peele are being kept under wraps for the moment, but The Hollywood Reporter did confirm that Jordan Peele is once again writing the script for the movie as well as directing & producing it, just as he’s done on his previous award-winning projects.
Ian Cooper of Monkeypaw Productions, the production company founded by Peele, will also be producing the film. The Hollywood Reporter announced that “Senior VP production Sara Scott & creative executive Tony Ducret are overseeing the project on behalf of Universal”.
While we probably won’t be hearing any details on the synopsis & plot of the new Jordan Peele movie anytime soon, we can assume from looking at his past movies that the upcoming film may be filled with horror, a bit of humor, and some strong political & social commentary. However, Peele has also shown time & time again that he’s capable of creating all types of genres, so who knows what he’s got up his sleeves this time?

While it will certainly be some time before the new movie directed by Jordan Peele will officially be in theaters, there’s no need to worry. In the meantime, you can watch plenty of his other projects he’s done that are equally amazing, whether it be his comedic work on Key & Peele or his masterfully directed horror films Get Out (2017) & Us (2019).
Besides the new movie by Jordan Peele that’s set to be released on July 22, 2022, the award-winning director has certainly kept himself busy during quarantine with other projects. In July, it was announced that the director was teaming up with Issa Rae on the film Sinkhole, which Deadline reported would be about “the idea of female perfection & identity”.
Jordan Peele also produced and helped to write the upcoming new horror remake of Candyman, which was initially supposed to arrive in theaters the previous year, but has now been pushed back to August of 2021 due to the pandemic. Aside from movies, Jordan Peele has lent his talents to producing TV shows such as Amazon Prime’s Hunters and the CBS series The Twilight Zone.
