Kanye West & Julia Fox may be the hottest celebrity couple of the moment, but it’s unclear whether we should call them that. The “Eazy” singer & Uncut Gems actress are allegedly in an open relationship according to sources. Page Six recently reported that someone close to Julia Fox said, “Their bond transcends typical norms because they’re evolved beings.”
This unnamed source continued by saying Kanye West & Julia Fox, “just want each other to be happy. There is no jealousy or bad vibes.” While polyamorous relationships are certainly more common now than they used to be, there aren’t many celebrities who are this forward about it. Ironically, comedian Pete Davidson recently called Kanye’s ex Kim his girlfriend.
While West’s devout fanbase stands by the sentiment that he’s now living his best life, those of us observing from the sidelines can’t help but rubberneck at the drama. Kanye made headlines recently for purchasing a home across the street from Kim Kardashian. So, what is Kanye West really up to, and how does Julia Fox factor into the equation?
Kanye gone wild
No stranger to courting media attention, another source told Page Six that Kanye West was, “openly seeing,” Instagram model Chaney Jones. Judging by Jones’ profile, one would have to be ignorant to not notice the fact that she resembles Kim Kardashian in looks & style. Could it be that Kanye is trying to recapture the essence of being with Kim?
West was spotted with Jones in Los Angeles recently, only a few days after he was reportedly downtown at Lucien for Julia Fox’s birthday party. At said party, West allegedly gave out five Birkin bags as party favors to Fox’s friends. For someone with past financial problems, Kanye seemingly likes to flaunt his wealth.
It could be claimed that West started seeing Fox to rebound from his relationship with Kim Kardashian, which is currently in the midst of divorce proceedings. After all, Kardashian has been seeing Saturday Night Live cast member Pete Davidson since October, with their romance getting more serious.
Kanye has openly expressed remorse for how things ended with Kim K, even publicly attempting to win back Kardashian while dating Julia Fox. While Fox seems unfazed by Ye being Ye, the supposedly open nature of their relationship could be a result of Fox not being prepared to be with the rapper completely.
Julia Fox backs off
Relatively unknown as a public figure until recently, Julia Fox burst onto the scene in 2019 when she appeared in Uncut Gems. Fox starred alongside Adam Sandler in the Safdie brothers A24 joint, playing the mistress of an unhinged New York City jeweler. Before Uncut Gems, Fox was regarded as a New York City socialite around the art scene.
Since her breakthrough role, Fox has appeared in several other films, both indie & big-budget. In PVT Chat, she plays a cam girl from San Francisco who gets involved with an internet gambler from New York. She even appeared in last year’s Steven Soderbergh film No Sudden Move. Fox has also appeared in TV ads for Tiffany & Co.
As Julia Fox gets more invested in her career as a media personality, perhaps she’s realizing how taxing it is to be in a relationship with Kanye West. West & Fox also operate on two different time zones, as West is based in California, while Fox is from New York. Fox also has a one-year-old son to take care of.
While Julia Fox & Kanye West’s relationship may be fizzling, there’s no shortage of upcoming content from the both of them. Kanye is apparently set to release Donda 2 on February 22nd, 2022, but knowing Kanye, there could be a delay. Julia Fox is set to star in the upcoming film Upper Cut, in which she’ll portray Carrie White, the “First Lady of Hairdressing.”
