Is the Kanye West & Kim Kardashian divorce still in the works? Earlier this month, Page Six announced that the Kanye West & Kim Kardashian divorce was definitely happening. Now that she’s been showing up to every single event for West’s new album DONDA, fans have questions. Her wedding dress at his most recent event is the main reason people suspect reconciliation.
Lately, the Kardashian-Jenner clan has been notoriously quiet whenever rumors about them begin swirling in the media. For example, multiple news outlets have reported on Kylie Jenner’s pregnancy, but she’s yet to confirm pregnancy herself. Here’s what we know about if the Kanye West & Kim Kardashian divorce is still happening or not.
The wedding dress
TMZ reported Kim Kardashian’s choice to wear a wedding dress to Kanye West’s DONDA album listening party. She elegantly & dramatically walked across the stage to meet her estranged husband in front of a huge crowd of people.
This all went down at the Soldier Field in Chicago during the show’s final song “No Child Left Behind”. When she emerged in the beautiful Balenciaga Couture address, the stadium went into an immediate frenzy.
Are they back together?
According to insiders who’ve spoken to TMZ, the Kanye West & Kim Kardashian divorce is still definitely happening because they’re not officially back together. It seems she chose to make the shocking appearance to pay tribute to their seven-year marriage, despite the fact they’re no longer making it work as a couple.
They’re still making it work in the co-parenting department which is the most important thing when children are involved. Kardashian & West share four kids together: North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm. The four precious kids make several appearances on social media through Kardashian‘s posts & stories.
They even have fan accounts created already even though they’re super young still. This famous family’s going to continue being close with each other, regardless of if Kardashian & West choose to officially get back together or not.
What caused the divorce?
After seven years of marriage, the news about Kanye West & Kim Kardashian’s divorce was pretty shocking to the public. They obviously had issues here and there, as any couple does, but with all the kids they share and their common interests in the world of fashion & fame, learning about their divorce came out of left field. For Kardashian, she knew for a while that the marriage wasn’t working.
In an episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, she said, “I never thought I was lonely. I always thought that’s totally fine. I can just have my kids, and my husband moves from state to state and I’m on this ride with him. And I was OK with that.” It turns out she really wasn’t okay with it at all.
She continued, “After turning forty this year, I realized no. I don’t want a husband that lives in a completely different state. I thought that’s when we’re getting along the best, but then that is sad to me. And that’s not what I want.” Long-distance relationships based on obligations are one thing . . . For example, if a couple is madly in love but must live in different states because of college, they’re not living apart by choice.
For Kardashian & West, they’ve been doing a long-distance marriage even though they have the wealth and the means to live in the same house. Kardashian describing her experience as lonely makes a lot of sense. She wants to be in a marriage with someone she can spend quality time with – someone who shares the majority of her same interests.
