Did Larsa Pippen actually cheat on her husband with Future?

Celebrity divorces aren’t unexpected, but they can sometimes come as a shock, especially if the couple has been together as long as Larsa & Scottie Pippen. The basketball star Scottie Pippen & LA socialite Larsa Pippen had been married for nineteen years when they first decided to split in 2016. 

No one knew the reason Scottie & Larsa first called it quits in 2016, and in 2017 it seemed like the couple were trying to repair their relationship. However, in 2018 Larsa moved ahead with the divorce, her reasons cited as “irreconcilable differences”. It’s long been suspected that Larsa has an affair with rapper Future though she has repeatedly denied it. Here are the details of the rumored affair.

Speculations & rumors

After their split in 2018, the public began speculating about Larsa & Scottie’s relationship and what caused the break that happened in 2016. Rumors surfaced that Larsa had a relationship with Future, a rapper known for songs like “Mask Off”. The rumors came after TMZ Sports reported they had captured footage of the pair looking “cozy” but sources close to Larsa stated that their relationship was casual. 

Larsa repeatedly denied she had had an affair with Future. Instead Larsa posted on Instagram that the real reason she split from Scottie was because she was lonely in the relationship and claimed that Scottie was never around, even for birthdays & holidays. 

Larsa wrote in a tweet to dispel the rumors of her cheating that, “I was married to him for 20 years, I did everything for him and my family. People change and that’s what really happened. Most people can’t even imagine being in a relationship for a week so I know it’s beyond imagination . . . Cheating wasn’t the problem.”

Future throwing shade 

The rumor about Larsa & Future having an affair in 2016 only intensified in 2017 when Future released “Rent Money” in which the rapper alludes to having sex with Larsa. Future appears to diss Scottie in the song as well with some explicit lyrics. 

One particular verse of “Rent Money” has the lyrics, “I did it by mistake, it wasn’t on purpose, end up f**king your wife/ She was choosin’ up and it was on sight/ Had her ridin’ on me like a motorbike/ Had to clean her head like a wet wipe.”

Many felt that this was a personal attack on Scottie and even fans of Future were shocked by the seemingly unprovoked shade Future threw at the former NBA star. One fan wrote on twitter, “This is what Future said on Moneybagg’s new album about Scottie Pippen’s wife cheating with him . . . . This guy is a MONSTER”.

Instagram haters 

On May 14th, Larsa posted an Instagram with the caption, “Find someone who’ll put [you] first!!” This post was met with a number of replies bashing Larsa for the alleged affair. One commenter wrote, “[Too] bad you didn’t put Scottie Pippen first” while another replied with, “Bro he was loyal to you no? Correct me if I’m wrong but didn’t you do adultery first?”

Larsa defended herself in the comments, responding that she “literally did everything” for Scottie and that she had her reasons for ending the marriage – none of which included an affair. Larsa commented, “Stop tripping dude [you] don’t know what you’re talking about. I held him down and still do. Just [because] I don’t air his dirty laundry doesn’t mean it doesn’t stink I just don’t wanna do his laundry anymore.” 

Since their split, Larsa & Scottie have remained distant, but have stated they still intend to be friends and continue to raise their four children together.
