If you’re looking for something to help keep the kids busy: DreamWorks Spooky Stories Volume 2  (rated for ages 3 & up) will do the job. They’ll love watching Shrek, B.O.B., and Megamind in some new adventures. Starring: Seth Rogan, Will Arnett, and Hugh Laurie.

Extraction

This Netflix Original is an action-thriller that follows a black-ops agent as he attempts to rescue an Indian drug kingpin’s son in Bangladesh. Extraction is action-packed & incredibly violent. Starring: Chris Hemsworth, Rudhraksh Jaiswal, and Randeep Hooda.

Kolaiyuthir Kaalam

A remake of English film Hush, Kolaiyuthir Kaalam is a 2019 slasher film about an adopted deaf & mute girl battling home intruders in a life-and-death struggle until the end. Starring: Nayanthara, Bhumika Chawla, and Pratap K. Pothen.

Mirror Mirror 

This PG-rated fantasy-adventure has mixed reviews but is overall a good pick for family movie night. Starring: Julia Roberts, Nathan Lane, and Lily Collins.

Yours Sincerely, Kanan Gill

Netflix continues to bring out more Originals standup specials. Yours Sincerely, Kanan Gill was released to lukewarm reviews but will probably brighten your day & does promise some laughs.

Django Unchained 

In true Tarantino fashion, Django Unchained is as unconventional as a western could be. This 2012 star-studded film follows a slave who teams up with an eccentric bounty hunter to capture the South’s most vicious criminals. Starring: Jamie Foxx, Christoph Waltz, Leonardo DiCaprio, Kerry Washington, and Samuel L. Jackson.

The Artist

Winning 5 Oscars and many more accolades, this 2011 French black-and-white silent film is set in the late 1920s into the early 30s. The Artist revolves around the relationship of an up-and-coming young actress and an older silent film star. Starring: Jean Dujardin, Bérénice Bejo, and John Goodman.

Season 2 of After Life follows Tony Johnson as he continues to deal with his new life after the tragic loss of his beloved wife to breast cancer. Starring: Ricky Gervais, Tom Basden, Tony Way, and Diane Morgan.
