March Movies: All of Netflix’s bingeworthy new films
The spring fairies have listened and answered our prayers – no, we don’t mean good weather or finding the love of your life or finally getting ahead with work. We mean Netflix is releasing a shit-ton of bingeworthy content, including a whole bunch of rad new films as part of its March Movie Madness. Hooray! Who needs a social life when you’ve got stuff to watch on TV, right?
While we’ve already seen a plethora of Netflix movies come out this month so far, here are some of the streaming giant’s best upcoming flicks, including a dangerous comedy, a heartwarming romcom, and a drama about a high school basketball pro:
Game Over, Man!
Available March 23
Not long until you get to check out this action comedy from director Kyle Newacheck (Community) & writer Anders Holm (The Intern). Holm also features alongside his Workaholics co-stars Adam Devine & Blake Anderson, as they play three waiters who are forced into action when the building they work in gets taken hostage. If the plot sounds kinda like Die Hard, that’s because the movie is filled with homages to the classic action film. Devine even described Game Over Man as “Die Hard with complete morons.”
Roxanne Roxanne

Another film with only a few days to wait is writer & director Michael Larnell’s Lolita “Roxanne Shanté” Gooden biopic that premiered at Sundance last year. Set in Queens during the 80s, the movie charts the rise of the real-life teenage rap prodigy, as she hustled to provide for her family while defending herself on the streets of NYC. Overall, you won’t want to miss Roxanne Roxanne – a truly inspiring story of a hip-hop legend in the making. Stars Chanté Adams (Monsters and Men), Nia Long (The Best Man Holiday), Mahershala Ali (House of Cards), Elvis Nolasco (She’s Gotta Have It), Kevin Phillips (Notorious), and Adam Horovitz (While We’re Young).
Happy Anniversary

Writer & director Jared Stern’s romcom will arrive to Netflix at the end of the month, telling the story of a relationship at a crossroads. Set during the course of a day with some heartwarming / heartbreaking flashbacks, couple Sam & Mollie hit their three-year anniversary where they grapple over whether to stay together or call it quits. Stars Noël Wells (Mr. Roosevelt), Ben Schwartz (Parks and Recreation), Annie Potts (Ghostbusters), and Joe Pantoliano (Memento).

In this flick from writer & director Ryan Koo, a fourteen-year-old basketball hotshot – Terron Forte – is forced to navigate the complex and under-the-table world of amateur athletics when he is enlisted for an elite prep school program.
