HOW TO MAKE YOUR NEXT TRIP TO MALTA UNFORGETTABLE

To make your vacation in Malta a complete success, our travel guide will help you with practical tips on how to get there, weather and travel time, the best places to enjoy online blackjack, for every type of vacation and the most important sights.

Malta is a magical mix: the island republic lies between the Italian and African coasts and has always been hotly contested due to its strategically favorable location. Because so many different peoples left their traces, a special magic lies over the island. We tell you all the info you need to book your Malta vacation.

MALTA HAS A LOT TO OFFER

Malta may be small, but it has something to offer everyone on vacation – whether on the beach, in the city or on the neighboring islands.

MALTA FOR PACKAGE HOLIDAYMAKERS

In the north of the island, a large tourist center has developed on the peninsula between Salina Bay and St. Paul’s Bay in the last 50 years. The focus is on the new tourist towns and seaside resorts of Bugibba and Qawra, which merge seamlessly.

Vacationers will find everything they need there: Hotel facilities and beaches, pubs, restaurants and souvenir stores. In Bugibba, hotels dominate, but in Qawra there are mainly apartment complexes. Good to know: In Qawra it is always quieter than in Sliema or St. Julian’s.

MALTA AND ITS BEACHES

In northwestern Malta near the small village of Manikata, Golden Bay lives up to its promise: the sand shimmers gold, seems to stretch endlessly, and you swim in a shallow bay. You can rent umbrellas and beach chairs on site, and there are hotels, cafes, and restaurants nearby.

Very close to Golden Bay is the Għajn Tuffieħa bay. Getting to the sea requires a little work-out: 200 steps lead down to the sea. This has the great advantage that fewer tourists come there. In the bay there is a narrow beach, a shallow entrance to the sea and even a snorkeling zone.

MALTA FOR FAMILIES

Mellieha in the northwest of Malta was one of the first ten settlements in Malta and is now very popular with families. The beach is considered one of the most child-friendly bathing beaches on Malta because of its shallow sloping water.

Super convenient: Only about half an hour walk from Mellieha is Anchor Bay, where the biggest highlight for children awaits: Popeye Village, a kind of amusement park built in a former fishing village after the movie “Popeye” was filmed there in 1979.

MALTA TO PARTY

If you like to party on vacation, you should book a hotel in St. Julian’s. There are two main actors in the place: debauched parties and long nights. The center is the Paceville district with countless clubs, bars and restaurants. There is also a large shopping mall in Paceville: “The Baystreet” consists of three floors with stores, cafés, a cinema and a bowling club.

Not far away is the city of Sliema. There, too, there are numerous hotels, stores, the two largest malls on the island, many restaurants, cafés and hotels – and when it comes to nightlife, something for every taste.

MALTA FOR LIFESTYLE FANS

In the northeast of Malte you will find Valletta, the capital of the Republic of Malta. Only 6000 people live there on an area of 80 hectares. This makes Valletta the smallest capital in the European Union.

In Republic Street you will find countless stores and a lively hustle and bustle. In the market hall Is-Suq Tal-Belt on Merchants Street, a market takes place Monday to Saturday mornings, where you can buy meat, cheese and vegetables.
