Did Nicki Minaj’s husband commit this dark crime?

It’s pretty concerning to think about the possibility of Nicki Minaj’s husband committing a dark crime, but the story surrounding his past has been circulating heavily over the past few months. A woman has accused Nicki Minaj‘s husband, Kenneth Petty, of sexual assault and the details just seem to get worse & worse. 

For a long time there, fans of Nicki Minaj have focused on her thriving career as a female rapper in the hip-hop industry and more recently, everyone was really happy for her entering into motherhood and raising her son. Now, the focus has shifted from happy subject matter to something a lot scarier . . . This dark crime could potentially ruin the way people view her & her husband forever.

Jennifer Hough’s story

Jennifer Hough is a woman from New York City who is currently suing Nicki Minaj & Kenneth Petty for a dark crime he allegedly committed years ago in the 90s. She appeared on an episode of The Real, a talk show on Fox Network. The appearance was beyond emotional as she opened up about some of the things she’s been through with both Nicki Minaj & Kenneth Petty. 

She revealed that now is the time for her to finally speak up because she’s “tired of being afraid” and realizes the importance of speaking up when matters are this serious. The dark crime she alleges Kenneth Petty committed was back in 1994 when she was only sixteen years old. Kenneth Petty was apparently exactly the same age as her and ended up serving four and a half years in prison for the dark crime committed.

This means he was released in 1999 but he has recently been facing new legal issues. As of March 2020, he got arrested again because he failed to register himself as a sex offender in the state of California. The crime he committed took place in Queens, New York, but that doesn’t mean he can just run away from his problems and pretend they never happened.

What makes the dark crime worse

The dark crime committed by Kenneth Petty only gets worse when we take into account Nicki Minaj’s response to the situation years later. Jennifer Hough revealed she’s been going through intimidation, emotional distress, harassment, and even battery while dealing with the super-wealthy couple. 

She revealed in her interview on The Real that she spoke directly to Nicki Minaj one time but since then, associates of Minaj have continued to contact her in order to “negotiate numbers as far as money is concerned.” 

Hough even revealed, “the last incident was when one of their associates put $20,000 on my lap. And I still kept saying no. The last message I received was that I should’ve taken the money because they’re going to use that money to put on my head.” In other words, it sounds like they were threatening to use the money to hire a hitman to take her out. As dramatic & scary as that might sound, it’s not entirely unrealistic.

What happens next?

Fans of Nicki Minaj are already pretty upset with her because it seems she’s been defending her husband regardless of what he’s done in the past when in reality, she shouldn’t defend the actions he did. Even if he was still a teenager at the time of the incident, what he did is still unacceptable and it obviously changed Jennifer Hough’s life forever. 

That being said, it’s going to be a very complicated matter moving forward. What we do know for sure is that things are not looking good for Nicki Minaj or Kenneth Petty right about now.
