Cancel club: Will Chrissy Teigen finally address those offensive tweets?

Chrissy Teigen has been making headlines these past weeks for all the wrong reasons – after she was cancelled for her old tweets & DMs and accused of bullying. Since then, she has recently tried to make a comeback on social media after feeling “lost”. However, people have not been having it with her and have made it pretty clear the celeb has not yet been forgiven by the internet. Let’s take a look at all the drama & details here.

Trying to make a comeback

Ever since Chrissy Teigen was exposed for some pretty problematic old tweets, the star tried to lay back a bit on updating her fans on social media. However, it seems that she’s been itching for her break to be over, but unfortunately for her, it seems that the last thing people want is a Chrissy Teigen comeback. In a recent post to her Instagram account on Wednesday, she expressed how “lost” she has been feeling lately.

The star wrote: “Iiiii don’t really know what to say here…just feels so weird to pretend nothing happened in this online world but feel like utter sh*t in real life. Going outside sucks and doesn’t feel right, being at home alone with my mind makes my depressed head race. But I do know that however I’m handling this now isn’t the right answer. I feel lost and need to find my place again,I need to snap out of this”.

“I desperately wanna communicate with you guys instead of pretending everything is okay. I’m not used to any other way!! Cancel club is a fascinating thing and I have learned a whollllle lot. Only a few understand it and it’s impossible to know til you’re in it. And it’s hard to talk about it in that sense because obviously you sound whiney when you’ve clearly done something wrong. It just sucks. There is no winning”, she added.

“But there never is here anyhow. All I know is I love you guys, I miss you guys, and I just needed an honest moment with you because I’m just…tired of being sick with myself all day. I don’t even know if it’s good to say any of this because it’s gonna get brutally picked apart but I dunno. I can’t do this silent sh*t anymore”, she expressed to her fans

“If you or someone you know has also been cancelled please let me know if there is a cancel club reunion because I could use some time off my couch! Thank u and goodbye I love u”, the star finished her caption with. Chrissy Teigen made this post after she was labeled a bully when her old tweets and Instagram DMs resurfaced all over the web, which eventually led to her cancellation.

Her original apology

Chrissy Teigen had already once apologized for her old tweets in the past through a lengthy post on Medium. In the post, she shared: “As you know, a bunch of my old awful (awful, awful) tweets resurfaced. I’m truly ashamed of them” and also added that “I’ve apologized publicly to one person, but there are others — and more than just a few — who I need to say I’m sorry to”.

Chrissy Teigen also addressed her old resurfaced tweets on Twitter following her cancellation, writing: “Not a lot of people are lucky enough to be held accountable for all their past bullshit in front of the entire world. I’m mortified and sad at who I used to be. I was an insecure, attention seeking troll”, and she also expressed that she was “ashamed and completely embarrassed at my behavior”.

The star also expressed back in May that “I have worked so hard to give you guys joy and be beloved and the feeling of letting you down is nearly unbearable, truly. These were not my only mistakes and surely won’t be my last as hard as I try but god I will try!!” People still don’t seem to be having it with her on social media regardless, but that probably won’t stop Chrissy Teigen from keeping on.
