Here are all the craziest ‘Money Heist’ season 5 theories

Money Heist part 4 couldn’t have come at a better time. With the entire world on lockdown thanks to Coronavirus, it was the perfect time to watch and rewatch and rewatch the new episodes of the hit Netflix heist show.

Of course, over our numerous rewatches of part 4, we’re brainstorming what season 5 is going to look like. A lot of the rules of the game have changed thanks to how part 4 ends, so there’s still a lot of room for the heist to go wrong as the gang makes their formal escape from the Bank of Spain.

While season 5 of Money Heist is eventually coming once production is able to resume, we’re already writing the reason in our head based on these top theories. We’re interested to see how right we are, considering we weren’t exactly right about season 4 theories.

Spoilers for Money Heist part 4 below!

The Professor (Alvaro Morte) meets a demise similar to his father

The reason The Professor wants to do the heist on the Royal Mint of Spain in the first two parts is because of his father. Telling stories to his son, he told him about this place that just prints money, and how the ultimate heist wouldn’t be robbing any bank, but printing as much of your own money as you’d like.

Of course, his father took a bullet to the head during his own heist, dying before he could do his dream heist. But the reality is his father was most likely stealing money for a sickly Professor and Berlin (Pedro Alonso), just like how The Professor is helping poor as dirt people get a good life.

But just like how his life and motivations mirror his father, his death will do the same. Maybe not a bullet to the head by the cops, but by Alicia (Najwa Nimri). At the end of part 4 of Money Heist, as everyone’s celebrating, Alicia sneaks up behind The Professor into his hideout with a gun. While we want nothing bad to happen to our guy, this could be the end for The Professor.

Alicia joins the team — because she’s Tatiana (Diana Gomez)

We keep flipping back and forth on this theory. It’s hard to say for sure that it isn’t true, especially now knowing that Tatiana is Berlin’s wife. Even though both characters are played by different actresses, it could be because Tatiana got some work done or is undercover.

But Alicia’s focus on this case just seems bizarre. Though it mirrors Raquel (Itziar Ituno) from parts one and two, it’s a new level of obsession compared to her. She literally broke her way into The Professor’s hide out. Plus, at the end of the season, Nimri is the one singing “Bella Ciao” in the credits this time around. Coincidence? We think not.

The group makes their escape among the protesters

Of course, the thieves aren’t exactly out of the woods yet either. They may have just finally saved Lisbon from police custody, but they’re all still trapped in the Bank of Spain. Plus, The Professor is a bit tied up right now, so he won’t be able to help them out. How do they manage to get freedom?

Simple. The protests on the street are the perfect disguise to sneak out into. All the protestors are dressed like them anyway. They could even walk out the front door and make a run for it into the crowds. It’s hard to not see The Professor’s intricate planning when he released the cash onto the city, because he gave the gang an escape.

Tokyo (Ursula Corbero) is the only one to make it out alive

We hate to admit it, but out of all the people to survive the end of the series, it’s going to be Tokyo. Not because she’s useful or smart, but because she’s the narrator of the series. She’ll be the last one standing, so she can be the one to tell the downfall of whatever heist is coming next.

But we like to hope this isn’t going to happen in part 5. But we also thought Nairobi (Alba Flores) was going to survive part 4, and look how well that dream worked out. Alex Pena knows how to kill lead characters when it comes time to do so, so we hope the time is later on, not in part 5.
