Will Ghislaine Maxwell live to see her trial date? Looking at the odds
Jeffrey Epstein, convicted sex-trafficker & rapist, had many ways of slipping away from criminal retribution. Whether it was his fortune or powerful friends that shielded him is unknown. Though Epstein likely established his sex trafficking ring back in the 1990s (and was reported for it), he didn’t face legal repercussions for many years.
Even in 2008 when he was finally charged with sexual abuse allegations, he procured a ridiculously easy sentence – serving only thirteen months at a “luxury” prison. When he was arrested again in 2019, Epstein dodged his trial & a lifetime in prison by supposedly killing himself.
Will Epstein’s associate & lover, Ghislaine Maxwell be able to avoid a long criminal sentence as well? Whether it’s money, friends in high places, or “coincidences”, the alleged sex traffickers always have had a way out. How likely is it that Ghislaine Maxwell will make it to her trial date on July 12, 2021? We’re examining the odds.
COVID-19 delays
Just like the abundant delays seen in film & TV production, sporting events, & schooling – Maxwell’s court date could be pushed back due to COVID-19. If COVID-19 prevails through 2021 (which some believe will be the case), it’s not unlikely that Maxwell’s trial date could be pushed back.
Defense extension
It’s also possible that Maxwell’s delays could happen if her defense – for some reason – ask for more time to prepare a defense. Epstein sure had some talented lawyers who were able to procure him a ridiculously good deal at first. With Maxwell’s inherited fortune, it’s not unlikely that legal maneuvering could take place.
Suicide watch
While the reasons above seem rather innocent, we all know that everyone is most worried about her meeting the same fate as Epstein. Epstein was found dead in his prison cell and the incident was deemed a “suicide.”
Immediately when Ghislaine Maxwell was arrested she was put on suicide watch. She was forced to wear paper clothes and sleep on a sheetless mattress (both of which couldn’t be used to tie a noose like what Epstein had done.) This way authorities could be sure that Maxwell would not be able to take her own life.
But will this be able to stop Maxwell? As an addition to the suicide watch techniques – security cameras closely monitor Maxwell’s every move in prison. Moreover, she’s been given a roommate who could catch any attempt. While this security is more thorough than Epstein’s, it’s still possible Maxwell could die before her trial date.
Prison deaths
Of course, many people believe that suicide is not the real way that Maxwell could be killed. Epstein was found dead while awaiting his trial likely to extend the sex trafficking charges against him. It is highly suspected that his death could have been orchestrated or a product of prison murder.
Maxwell could be a prime target for other inmates who have it out for the infamous sex trafficker portrayed in the news. A former warden of MDC stated that for inmates injuring Maxwell “would be a badge of honor.” In fact, inmates who are sexual offenders are more likely to be killed by other inmates.
According to NY Post, Maxwell herself has also confided in friends that she fears for her own life as she was receiving death threats before she was arrested. But from whom are these death threats coming?
High-profile motives
It’s possible that in Epstein’s trial he could drop the names of some powerful figures. Thus his suspicious death could have been connected to those trying to save their name. Maxwell, of course, has the power to name names that could implicate these high profile figures like Bill Clinton, Prince Andrew, & even President Donald Trump.
Steven Hoffenberg, a mentor to Epstein, has said that Maxwell could definitely be taking down some well-known figures. He shares:
“She’s going to be naming some big names — not only in terms of those who abused underage girls at Epstein’s parties — but also those who made financial agreements with Epstein or benefited from his generosity, including flying on his plane and staying at his homes.”

I pray Giselle makes it to trial and the names of those members of the Elite be outed! It’s a crime that they have immunity in this case!
