Martin’s books (A Song of Ice and Fire and Fire & Blood). Yet, while Game of Thrones follows several families and their political conflicts, House of Dragon focuses on the Targaryen family.
Something both series have done very well is their character development. Sometimes gray characters show us more than perfectly luminous or dark ones, sometimes, life is not about villains & heroes. While both shows count on great quality and an amazing production, House of the Dragon has been criticized due to its numerous character recasts throughout the season.
