The nude truth: Can Sofia Vergara’s ex really steal her embryos?

For nearly a decade, the men of the English and Spanish-speaking world have been scouring the internet for the elusive chance at snatching a peek at nude photos of Sofia Vergara. In the case of one of these men, the nude truth of his obsession may lead him into paying up some serious legal fees.

Nick Loeb, the ex-fiancé of Sofia Vergara, remains steadfast in his quest for the couple’s frozen embryos. However, Loeb’s fight has now shifted to the ART Reproductive Center, the Beverly Hills fertility clinic they employed. Loeb contends that the clinic neglected to inform him that the embryos would be destroyed if they parted ways.

With a legal battle dragging on for years, will Loeb finally find closure? Or does this battle have to do with something else entirely? Let’s look at the nude facts.

Embryo Advocate

Loeb, a film director and actor who identifies as pro-life, hails from a prominent American family with ties to the Bronfmans of Seagram, the Lehman family of the defunct Lehman Brothers bank, and the Loeb family of Loeb, Rhoades & Co.

In court filings, he alleges medical malpractice by ART, despite admitting that he signed a contract specifying the embryos’ fate in the event of a break-up.

“I never would have proceeded with creating what Sofia and I regarded as lives if I knew that she would not consent, or that she wanted to thaw and destroy the embryos in the event of a breakup,” Loeb said in the most recent filing.

He seeks damages from ART to cover his legal fees, but a judge previously ruled he would not be able to claim emotional distress damages for not having the children.

Vergara and Loeb’s relationship, which lasted four years, ended in 2014, after they had visited ART and had the embryos frozen. At that time, Vergara, now 50, already had an adult son. In 2017, she filed legal papers to block Loeb from accessing the embryos. Their legal battle lasted four years until a judge dismissed his final appeal in March 2021.

Vergara’s Journey

The Colombian-American actress and television personality has been married twice. Her first marriage was to her high-school sweetheart, Joe Gonzalez, in 1991 when she was just 18 years old. The couple had a son named Manolo in September 1991 but divorced in 1993.

Vergara’s second and current marriage is to Joe Manganiello, an American actor. The couple first met in May 2014 when they both attended the White House Correspondents Dinner.

They got engaged on Christmas Day that year and tied the knot on November 22, 2015, at The Breakers Resort in Palm Beach, Florida. Since then, the couple has been leading a relatively private life, with Manganiello supporting Vergara in her career behind the scenes.

Autonomous star

Vergara rose to fame in the late 1990s while co-hosting two Spanish-language television shows for Univision. Her breakthrough role came in 2009 when she landed the part of Gloria Delgado-Pritchett on the hit ABC sitcom Modern Family

Vergara was nominated for numerous awards for her work on the show, making her the highest-paid actress on television. She has also continued to model and has appeared in numerous commercials for brands like Pepsi, Xfinity, and Head & Shoulders.

Vergara’s net worth is estimated to be around $180 million, and she owns several properties, including a mansion in Beverly Hills, California. Throughout her career, Vergara has been a prominent celebrity and was even awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for Television in 2015.

Nude truth

As the legal battle continues, one can’t help but wonder how much of this really has to do with Loeb’s children. For all we can see, this seems to be more about control. And not only of the embryos, but of Vergara herself. The nude reality of court cases like these is just as slimy, as the fight for women’s rights continues to rage across most of the world’s conservative societies.

If one thing is true, it is that Sofia Vergara has talent but most importantly she has autonomy. All women should be given the same unalienable right.
