Crazy career

Spears got her start in show business in the early 1990s as a member of the cast of The Mickey Mouse Club. She landed a record deal with Jive Records in 1997 and released her debut single “…Baby One More Time” the following year. The song was an instant hit, reaching number one on the Billboard Hot 100 and earning Spears her first Grammy nomination.

From there, Spears continued releasing chart-topping albums and hit singles. Some of her most famous hits include “Oops!…I Did It Again,” “Toxic,” and “Womanizer.” Her music videos and live performances were also iconic, with her signature dance moves and iconic costumes becoming synonymous with her brand.

Aside from her music career, Spears also made a name for herself in Hollywood. She starred in the 2002 film Crossroads and made guest appearances on shows like How I Met Your Mother and Glee.

Falling from grace

However, Spears’ personal life became increasingly tumultuous throughout the mid-2000s. She divorced twice and experienced numerous public breakdowns, leading her to be placed under a conservatorship in 2008. The conservatorship gave her father control over her finances and personal affairs, sparking controversy amongst her fans.

Despite this, Spears continued to release music and perform live. In 2013, she began a residency at the Planet Hollywood resort in Las Vegas, which became one of the highest-grossing residencies of all time.

In 2021, the documentary Framing Britney Spears brought renewed attention to the conservatorship and sparked the #FreeBritney movement. The movement called for an end to the conservatorship and for Spears to regain control over her life and career.

In June 2021, Spears addressed the court for the first time about her conservatorship, calling it abusive and demanding that it be terminated. Since then, there have been numerous developments in the case, including the resignation of her father as conservator and a shift in public opinion regarding Spears’ treatment.

Spears’s slap?

According to multiple news outlets, Britney Spears was assaulted during a trip to Las Vegas. Allegedly, “Victor Wembanyama’s security guard allegedly assaulted the pop star, 41, at celebrity hotspot Catch inside the Aria Resort & Casino in Las Vegas around 8:30 p.m. local time, according to TMZ. An insider told the outlet that Spears was a “fan” of the pro baller, and so she went up to him to ask for a photo together. Wembanyama, a 19-year-old from France, was just signed to the Spurs during the 2023 NBA Draft on June 22.”

A video has been released which appears to show Britney Spears getting hit by someone. TMZ states, “You can see Spears come up from behind the young NBA star — and from there, a witness said she tried to tap him on the shoulder, which led to things getting physical with security.”

It’s not clear what Britney is planning on doing, but things could take a legal route, especially with enough evidence backing the star. All of this came just before Spears announced her new memoir entitled The Woman In Me. We will definitely be grabbing a copy since Spears’s life is far from boring and even now continues to keep us and fans worldwide captivated.
