Donald Trump, a villain yesterday, but a "legend" today? Why have fans taken Megan Fox's views of the former president out of context? Let's delve in.

Does Megan Fox think Donald Trump is a “legend” today?

This week, actress Megan Fox recently sat down for a late-night interview with comedy legend Arsenio Hall, who’s currently filling the hosting duties on Jimmy Kimmel Live. Fox, best known for her work in the Transformers movies, is currently famous for dating Machine Gun Kelly, making the pair as eccentric a couple as Hollywood has seen in years. She even recently admitted to taking a trip with MGK just to try ayahuasca.

But where else have you seen Megan Fox this week? Maybe you’ll recall her and Machine Gun Kelly’s appearance at UFC 264 this past weekend, which was highlighted by the exciting albeit violent match between Connor McGregor and Dustin Poirer, in which McGregor’s ankle snapped in half. However, much of the excitement came with the various celebrities in attendance, including Justin Bieber and Kourtney Kardashian.

That being said, perhaps no face was as famous in attendance as that of the former president of the United States Donald Trump, making an entrance so grand that even Lethal Weapon star Mel Gibson had to salute unless it was Gibson’s evil twin. Stars even flocked to the former president just to introduce themselves, including current TikTok star Addison Rae. But did Megan Fox call Trump a “legend”? Let’s see.

Does Fox claim Trump is a “legend”?

During Fox’s interview with Arsenio Hall, she talked about the slew of celebrities at UFC 264; Donald Trump, in particular, claiming that the UFC crowd accepted the president with open arms given their loud cheers, claiming he was a “legend” at the event. However, after multiple people ran with the quote and took it in a new direction, Megan Fox appeared on her own Instagram story to set the record straight.

“UHMMM… I DO NOT ALIGN MYSELF WITH ANY POLITICAL PARTY OR INDIVIDUAL POLITICIANS,” she wrote in her all-caps rebuke. “I NEVER SAID DONALD TRUMP IS A LEGEND. I SAID HE WAS A LEGEND… IN THAT ARENA (KEY PART OF THE SENTENCE).”

Fox continued: “THE ARENA WAS FILLED WITH UFC FIGHT FANS. MANY OF THEM CLEARLY REPUBLICAN BASED OFF THE INSANE CROWD REACTION HE RECEIVED WALK-MOBILE VENUE. THAT WAS AN OBSERVABLE FACT. NOT MY OPINION. REALLY LOVING THIS UNEDUCATED, MID-EVIL [sic] PITCH FORK CARRYING, BURN THE WITCH AT THE STAKE MENTALITY THOUGH.”

Of course, Megan Fox isn’t the only one today under fire for her opinions regarding Donald Trump at UFC 264.

Addison Rae giddy

Quickly released on the internet this week was a video of Addison Rae walking up to Donald Trump and garnering his attention. When he turns his head, Rae introduces herself to him. “I am Addison. I have to say hi. Hello. So nice to meet you,” she says. Her friends behind her then make comments about the interaction like, “Addison Rae exposed”, “She knows what she’s doing” and “Trump’s gonna f%^& her, easy.”

As Donald Trump remains today a public figure who is polarizing to over half the country, specifically due to what many consider to be “hateful” views, you can only imagine the disappointment in fans of Addison Rae, who immediately took to Twitter to cry out for a good reason why Addison Rae needed to meet him so badly. And we thought Megan Fox had it bad.

That being said, while Addison Rae today has not yet commented publicly about the video of her encounter with Donald Trump, it does answer what many speculated since  September 2020, in that Addison Rae votes Republican. The TikTok star has denied this claim, acknowledging that she has never registered to vote as well as debunking the rumor that she had a Donald Trump presidential flag in her bedroom.
