If you’re still on the fence about whether to dedicate an admittedly large amount of time to finally watching the series, here is your motivation!

Why Everyone Should Watch The Walking Dead?

It’s better to arrive late to the party than never arrive at all. The Walking Dead may have first aired back in 2010, but thanks to the wonders of modern technology, newcomers can still enjoy all the scary, zombie-filled goings-on in Georgia. And there’s good reason why you should. The TV show was a roaring success and instantly became an all-time classic. Today, you can attend Walking Dead conventions or buy a wide range of merchandise, and there are even games based on the series; Telltale released the The Walking Dead video game on PlayStation and Xbox, while you’ll also find a Walking Dead spins game on the list of titles you can play using an oddschecker slots deal. As we said: it was a hit!

If you’re still on the fence about whether to dedicate an admittedly large amount of time to finally watching the series, though, then this page is for you. Below, we’ll run through just some of the reasons why it should be the next show you binge-watch.

You Never Know Where It’s Going

There’s nothing worse than making a prediction about what you think will happen in a TV show, only for it to turn out that you were correct. Unless you have an insider scoop, that certainly won’t happen when you watch The Walking Dead, which is a show that keeps you guessing at every turn. Just when you think you have something figured out, it’ll hit you with a surprise and turn everything on its head.

It Has Some of TV’s Best Special Effects

When you’re watching a show that deals with a zombie apocalypse, you hope that the special effects are up to scratch. You can suspend your disbelief a little, but if those zombies don’t clearly look like zombies, then you’ll struggle to really enjoy the show. The Walking Dead took their depiction of zombies seriously and spent a considerable amount of time, energy, and money ensuring that they got the look just right. The outcome is staggering — if anything, they did too well, and that’s something you’ll discover for yourself when you get scared out of your wits while watching the show.

There’s a Big Walking Dead Universe

Think the fun will end once you finish the series? Think again. It’s easy to become obsessed with the show, and if you find yourself in that position, then fear not – you’ll find it pretty easy to get your Walking Dead fix. There’s a whole world of related media that you can enjoy, from spin-off TV shows to web miniseries, podcasts, and games. That’s another way of saying that you’ll be spoilt for choice if you want to continue your Walking Dead adventure once you get to the final episode.

You’ll Have Something to Talk About at Parties

If you’ve been to a party in the past ten years, then you’ll have heard people talking about The Walking Dead. This show was a smash hit, with millions upon millions of viewers. Now that you’ve finally joined the audience, you’ll have an easy go-to conversation at parties and other social gatherings. Enough time has passed that people will be happy to talk about the show again.

It Delivers Answers

Some television shows are fantastic about posing big questions, but not so good at answering them. Think of Lost. The show posed so many mysteries to us and yet failed to answer the vast majority of them. It sucked. The Walking Dead is perfect because it poses questions and answers them. Ultimately, it’s a highly satisfying show that will have you applauding the television, rather than looking to throw things at it.

Love and Hate

A good show should inspire the viewer to feel a wide range of emotions, and that’s just what The Walking Dead does. There’ll be times when you get so angry at the villains that you seriously consider marching to Georgia yourself to tell them off. But then there’ll also be tender depictions of love that make you believe it can thrive in even the worst environment. Plus, those love stories add a level of everyday gossip to proceedings too. We’re not saying it’s a soap drama exactly, but it does provide some much-needed relief from all that blood and gore.

Rick Grimes Is a Hero

Oh, Rick Grimes. You’ll probably know who he is even if you haven’t seen an episode of the show. You’ll have a sense that he’s a man that everyone admires. When you watch the show, you’ll see what all those fans mean. He’s the ultimate zombie world hero, someone who looks out not only for his own family but the family that he gathers along the way too. He’s also willing to make tough decisions and can more than handle himself in tricky combatant situations. If you ever find yourself in a zombie apocalypse, look for the person who looks most like Rick Grimes and make them your best friend. It’s the right move.

You Don’t Have To Wait

It was exciting watching The Walking Dead when it was airing on television, but it was also a bit frustrating. You’d get to a cliffhanger, and then you’d have to wait a whole week until you found out what happened when the next episode aired. And that was in the best-case scenario. If you had to wait until a new season came out, then you’d be waiting a long, long time.

Today, you won’t have that problem. You can binge-watch episode after episode, which will allow you to fully sink into The Walking Dead world. Just maybe don’t watch it for too long; it’s a pretty terrifying universe to be living in.

It’s the Perfect Sunday Night Show

The Walking Dead is the perfect Sunday night show. You’ve had a weekend of activities, you’ve made some popcorn, and all you want to do is relax. That’s the time to put on The Walking Dead, a show that is cinematic in scope yet retains all the intimacy of a television show. We do have to warn you, however, that it might make getting to sleep a little difficult after you’ve finished, so don’t start a new episode too late!
