Great dancer? Why Prince William fell in love with Kate Middleton

One day you are attending college and the next you become a Royal. This was less Kate Middlestone’s story when Prince William fell in love with her, a normal girl. Nonetheless, while many of us know the general story of how they met, there are certain details of how their relationship developed that are still not very known. Yet, we’ll share with you some details that were hiding under the radar till now.

Is Kate Middleton a good dancer? or maybe a great cook that went to Prince William’s heart through her best dishes? Well, it looks like none of those particular. In fact, the couple share numerous preferences, for example, they both like to eat breakfast early. According to the family friend Ben Duncan, both of them share that moment with their kids and it’s something quite special for all.

While everyone simply thinks that Prince William & Kate Middleton experienced love at first sight, it turns out that it wasn’t that way. In fact, there are rumors that say Prince William first invited out another classmate, but we’ll talk about it later. Also, according to Katie Nicholl’s studies on royal biographies Middleton & Prince William met years before university.

Kate brought him comfort

Dating and getting to create deep connections with multiple people is something great to do, especially at a young age. Yet, when you carry with such a royal title like Prince Harry, whose mother was one of the biggest icons not only of Britain but the world it’s hard to find honest connections. Prince William has shared in multiple interviews how he knew that people were interested in him for his title.

There was something about Kate Middleton that simply gave the prince the confidence he needed to build a deep connection. Nonetheless, Kate wasn’t the only girl he dated, in fact, Prince William did ask another girl out first. Her name was Carly Massy-Birch, and she talked about her past relationship with Prince William. After all, it looks like something didn’t quite convince them to stay there.

On the other hand,  the book Kate: The Future Queen by Nicholl also reveals that Kate wasn’t particularly interested in boys. This means that Kate wasn’t precisely looking for a match with Prince William when they first began to interact. Nevertheless, when someone caught her attention it was hard to take her out of there, and that someone was Prince William.

Common interests

Opposites attract each other but if there aren’t some common things to hold on to, it’s quite possible for the relationship to end quickly. But what are the common interests between Prince William & Kate Middleton aside from enjoying early breakfast? This is an interesting question since a common thing they share a love for was the one to link them.

Both Prince William & Kate Middleton are sports fans, particularly hockey and rugby, in fact, Kate was one of the best players of her generation. Yet, Kate wasn’t only a good student and a great rugby player, but also a beautiful model. The next interest is fashion! It was after a fashion show runway where Middleton modeled that Prince William remained shocked and couldn’t stop from asking her out.

Finally, something we do have to mention, that might be the absolute key to their successful relationship is that they were friends first. They even moved in together as “platonic roommates” for a while, which let them experiment if they liked living with each other. In fact, both of them have mentioned that although their relationship wasn’t always romantic they did recognize a very special bond.
